Be end of 2017, China has increased its annual shale gas output capacity to 10 bcm. The production is mainly contributed from Sinopec's Fuling block and PetroChina's Changning, Weiyuan and Shaotong blocks, which may further upgrade the capacity to 20 bcm per year by 2015.

Most of China's current share gas production fields are located at Sinopec and PetrChina's traditionally owned oil and gas blocks. However, there is few E&P progress (except Sinopec's Nanchuan Block) from the open-bid share gas blocks during 2011-2012.

ARA Research & Publication's China Oil & Gas Industry Maps, Project Databases and Reports introduce to readers the nation's 86+ share gas E&P Projects. (Statistics updated by 2021.12)
